  • Naseeha is a Muslim mental health helpline that provides culturally competent and spiritually appropriate counseling to diverse populations. This helpline is specifically designed to address the unique mental health challenges faced by Muslims, and it offers confidential and non-judgmental support to those in need. However, those of different faiths or no faith are welcome to use this helpline as well as our counselors are trained in various therapeutic modalities and knowledgeable of the spectrum of mental health issues.

  • Naseeha's team consists of trained counselors who are familiar with Islamic culture and traditions. They are able to provide counseling on a wide range of mental health issues and life challenges, including anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship problems, and more. They also provide support and guidance on spiritual matters, such as coping with grief, finding purpose in life, and strengthening one's faith.

  • One of the key features of Naseeha is its emphasis on confidentiality. The helpline is completely anonymous and confidential, which allows callers to feel safe and comfortable when discussing sensitive issues. The service is available 15 hours a day, 7 days a week and callers can reach a counselor through phone or live chat.

We’re Here. 24/7. Just Call.

    • 100% Free

    • Anonymous

    • Faith-informed

    • Culturally sensitive

    • Staffed by trained Muslims with various backgrounds in Mental Healt

Because sometimes what you need most is someone who gets it.

  • We launched the world’s first 24/7 Muslim mental health helpline because we saw the gap.

There was no space to talk safely. No one was asking how you were really doing. So we built the line we wish existed: a space to be heard, not fixed. A place for Muslim youth and adults alike to feel less alone. It started small,  just a few volunteers and a couple of hours a week. Now it’s grown into a system of care that answers over 10,000 calls and texts annually.

  • When you call, this is what to expect:

    1. A trained peer support counselor will pick up and greet you, no pressure, no rush.

    2. They’ll ask how they can support you.

    3. The conversation is led by you; they’ll listen, validate, and reflect.

    4. If needed, they’ll help you co-create a plan for next steps,  but they won’t tell you what to do.

    We are not:

    • A therapy line (but we’ll help guide you to one)

    • A religious ruling service (but we understand your values)

We are a peer support helpline, Muslim to Muslim, heart to heart.

What to Expect When You Reach Out

Our goal is to make connecting with our helpline feel simple, safe, and centered on you. Here’s how it typically unfolds

    • Call us, you’ll hear our greeting message first, followed by a peer support counselor being connected to you. If you’re texting or chatting, a brief survey may help us better understand how to support you.

    • They’ll warmly introduce themselves and ask how you’re doing.

    • You remain in control; what you share is up to you.

  • No labels, no judgment, just compassionate listening.

    • If it feels like you might be in crisis, we’ll calmly ask about your safety and help you feel more grounded.

    • Emergency services are only involved when absolutely necessary, and always with care.

    • Whether you’re nervous, sad, angry, or unsure, we hear you.

    • We’ll help you explore your next steps, without pushing advice.

Often, simply knowing someone’s listening can bring relief.

    • Expect calls to be about 30 - 40 minutes, flexible to your needs.

    • Want to talk later? Call us back when you’re ready.

You can request a male or female counselor at any time.
